*Once again, the official results state that "Glucose reference range reflects fasting state". Not only was she not fasting, she had eaten a full breakfast and lunch, and I clearly recall the lab tech asking me, on this one, if she was fasting, to which I clearly recall replying, "No." Makes you wonder, doesn't it?!?

Test Type: CBC W/DIFF, W/PLT (CBD)
Explanation for 2nd set of results: This blood draw was originally ordered by Mom's hematologist. Mom's PCP knew about the order and wanted to get the results immediately, instead of waiting for the hematologist's office to fax them, so he sent us to the lab with his own set of orders for the same test from the same blood draw. The lab interpreted his request a bit differently, took two separate, immediately sequential draws and ran the test on both, sending one set of results to the hematologist and one to Mom's PCP. When I looked over the results sent to the PCP, I noticed that the same test on an immediately sequential draw is likely to yield somewhat different numbers. I thought this was interesting to contemplate and decided to post the second set of numbers, just for fun. I will note by color whether the results are higher or lower than the numbers above.
